CLERK STENOGRAPHER II
Kind of Work
Responsible stenographer work with related clerical duties.
Distinguishing Features of Work
An employee in this class takes dictation and transcribes the dictated material using a typewriter. The work is differentiated from that performed by a clerk Stenographer I in that the employee is expected to take on the more difficult and important assignments calling for familiarity with technical phraseology and requiring a higher speed of shorthand note-taking and a higher general level of competency. The variety and difficulty of work may differ between posts and so may the degree of independent judgment required the one compensating for the other. As the employee gains experience supervision becomes less direct. Work is reviewed by a superior for neatness, accuracy and output.
Examples of Work
Takes dictation in shorthand of the more difficult and important matters requiring a familiarity with the use of governmental terms as well as technical terms and requiring a speed of shorthand writing up to 100 words per minute, and transcribes these notes into typed form.
Frequently acts as Secretary to the head branch or section taking and transcribing dictation routine incoming and outgoing mail, answering telephone calls, arranging interviews and generally carrying out the duties of Secretary.
Frequently takes shorthand notes at meetings and transcribes these notes eventually.
May supervise a small stenographic or typing pool, allocating work assignments and reviewing work performed.
Performs a wide variety of typing duties from shorthand notes or from written drafts using typewriter and/or word processing software.
May control a small office library involving the keeping of a simple record of books, journals and pamphlets to ensure that all publications borrowed are returned.
Maintains files of correspondence, reports, circulars and other written or typewritten records pertaining to the work of the office.
Keeps a record of the daily movements of files through the use of File Cards or other devices.
May prepare letter or memoranda from rough notes or from verbal instructions.
Operates simple office machines not requiring previous training or experience.
Prepares and runs off stencils.
Performs other simple clerical duties.
Performs related work as may be required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Some knowledge of government office practices and procedures in general.
Skill in shorthand writing, and in the transcribing and typing from these shorthand notes.
Skilled in the composition and preparation of letters, memoranda, minutes and reports.
Ability to perform simple clerical duties.
Ability to assign and supervise the work of a small group of employees.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with associated and the public.
Minimum Experience and Training
Experience (18 months to 4 years) in stenographic and clerical work such as may have been gained in the next lower class; and training as evidenced by passes at the CXC General Proficiency Grade I, II or III, or CXC Basic Proficiency Grade I or II, or G.C.E. O' Level in English language and two (2) other subjects (excluding Stenography and Typing), evidence of having passed approved examinations in Stenography at a rate of not less than 100 words per minute and in Typing at the rate of not less than 50 words per minute and training in the use of word processing software; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

LIST OF DUTIES OF FEMALE CLEANER
• Cleans, mops and vacuums offices daily
• Cleans, mops and vacuums all other rooms
• Cleans Telephones.
• Cleans Desks.
• Cleans Lobby, Washrooms.
• Cleans Kitchen - Walls, Sweeps and Mops Floor.
• Cobwebs when necessary.
• Cleans Bar.
• Washes Table-Cloths and Kitchen Utensils.
• Arranges Tables and Chairs for Rentors.
• Cleans Chairs for Rentors.
• Cleans Dressing Rooms and Bathrooms.
• Cleans Toilets - Urinals - Tiles and Walls .
• Cleans Auditorium Toilets and Western Toilet
• Assists in setting up for Meetings
• Clearing, washing and securing of all dishes after meetings.
• Wash drinking glasses and full kettle daily for Staff.
• Interfaces with Customers in an effective manner when necessary.
• Performs other related duties when necessary.
Some of these duties require a fair measure of bending, lifting, stretching and climbing (up to 3 ft.) on a daily and continuing basis.

DUTIES OF MALE LABOURER:
• Sweeps yard.
• Cleans and clears drains
• Cleans and sets up room/s with furniture when and as required.
• Cleans and removes furniture after functions.
• Brushcutting of compound
• Pressure washing of compound
• Assists with trimming the fence/trees, etc.
• Rakes lawn/sweeps car park/driveway.
• Conducts minor repairs to roof/building, etc.
• Paints as and when necessary.
• Interfaces with customers in an efficient and effective manner (when required)
Assists with moving of furniture, equipment, etc. when and as necessary.
• Performs other related duties when and as necessary

DUTIES OF AGRICULTURAL FOREMAN
• Looks after daily maintenance of the grounds: acreage within the fenced boundaries, plus the area
in front of the northern entrance.
• Cultivates all plants, trees, hedges and lawn area- trimming, cutting, mulching , transplanting, and
repotting - as necessary.
• Keeps gardening equipment and tools in good working condition and looks after their safe storage
(e.g. Brush-cutter, lawnmower, rakes, forks, etc.)
• Gives details of work to be done to labourers, when put under officer's charge from time to time and
as the need arises.
• Keeps record of work being done on a daily basis.
• Plans work to be done and discusses same with General Foreman and/or Chief Executive Officer
• Reports to the General Foreman an/or Chief Executive Officer.
• Assists labourers to arrange seating, tables, other items of furniture, etc. in the Amphitheatre or in
other areas of the Bowl, when required.
• Performs other related duties individually or as part of a team, when required or requested.

DUTIES OF WATCHMAN
• Responsible for the safety of the entire premises, it's contents and surrounding.
• Report to Supervisor - The General Foreman and/or Chief Executive Officer on all matters as necessary
and as required.
• Record details of any observations, problems, in log book during shift worked.
• Assist in parking vehicles before functions.
• Monitor dressing rooms during shows.
• Supervise rentors in Auditorium in the absence of the technical Crew.
• Undertake periodic checks of entire premises and log same.
• Perform assigned tasks related to direct duties.
